PADI Advanced Open Water Diver Course

What's PADI Advanced Open Water Diver?

     PADI is one of the most popular and biggest worldwide known dive organization which has introduced diving as a leisure activity to the world.
     Advanced Open Water course will help you sharpen your dive skills and build your confidence so you'll feel more comfortable underwater. You'll do 5 adventure dives. Underwater Navigation and Deep Adventure dives are musts. The rest of dives you can choose based on your interests. The most common choices are Peak Performance Buoyancy, Night Dive, Fish Identification...etc. After course completion, you'll be able to dive with a dive buddy to maximum depth 30 meters.

What are the requirements?

  • Must be a PADI Open Water Diver or Junior Open Water Diver
  • Minimum age 12. 12-14 year-old take PADI Advanced Junior Open Water. Under 18 legal guardian agreement needed.
  • Ask a medical statement form from us to check if you meet the health requirements. If you have any medical concerns mentioned inside the form, you should ask doctor's advice.

More About XiaoLiuQiu

 XiaoLiuQiu, between Kaohsiung City and PingTung County, is an offshore island which is located in southwest of Taiwan. The whole island is about 6.8 km2. The warm current is passing by this island in winter which is one of places won't be affected by seasonal wind so you can enjoy diving here all year round. The average water temperature in winter is 24 Celsius degree and 28 degree in summer. 

     This island is known as green turtle's hometown. It is almost guaranteed to see turtles every time get into water. The water is warm and clear. Definitely worth making a detour to visit this island!
How to get there?

From Kaohsiung Train Station
     There is minibus depart almost every hour to Dong-gang ferry terminal. Go out to the train station, turn left and cross the road, you'll find it. The price is between NTD 120-150 one way.

From Kaohsiung HSR Station
     You can hail a cab and tell the driver you are going to Dong-gang ferry terminal. The price is about NTD 200 one way.
     Or the train station is connected with HSR station, you can take train for one stop to Kaohsiung Train Station then you'll get more options there.

From PingTung Train Station
     Find out where the bus station is. Take the route " PingTung to Dong-gang" (about 45 to 60 minutes) and get off at Dong-gang. Walk for 10 minutes to the ferry terminal.

From Dong-gang ferry terminal to XiaoLiuQiu Island is about 20 minutes by ferry.
