Diving in Taiwan

Though when mentioned about diving in Asia, Taiwan is not first country come to mind, Taiwan is definitely a great dive spot for its biodiversity. Here are some general introductions about diving in Taiwan.

Best Diving Season: April to September
Due to Northeast seasonal wind start to blow from winter (October to February), most of dive sites are not suitable for diving. You can still visit dive sites of east coast but it really depends on how lucky you are to do some dives.
However, there are two dive sites are exceptions. One is XiaoLiuQiu and the other one is Kenting. You can still go to these two place and enjoy diving during wintertime in Taiwan. And because of a warm current around the dive sites, you won’t need dry suit at all. The water temperature of these two dive sites in winter is about 24-26 Celsius degree.
Apart from seasonal wind, there are typhoons hit Taiwan during summertime. So before you off to Taiwan, check the weather forecast first, don't let typhoons ruin your dive trip.
